Jessica Gallagher, Director at Large

CU1

Jessica Gallagher is a people-focused leader, storyteller and community advocate at Alaska-based Credit Union 1 (CU1).

As Director of Corporate Communications for CU1, she shines at the uniquely human element of communication, outreach and brand building across the geographically and culturally widespread frontier of Alaska.

She's built her life and career around a passion for helping those most in need and lighting that torch in others. At work, Jessica speaks for a credit union that truly "walks the talk" of meeting people where they're at in life. At home, she is a mother and foster mother who helps families through some of their darkest times, when that advocacy can be truly lifechanging. She's the voice of credit union members, employees and her community. Most importantly, she lends this voice to those who may feel they don't have one -- telling the stories that bind us together and build us up toward a brighter future for all.

Jessica joined the credit union movement in Alaska in 2008. Originally from northern Wisconsin, she has been an active member of Alaska’s Mat-Su Valley community since 2009. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in English and Creative Writing from the University of Wisconsin (River Falls) and a Master of Arts degree in English and Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University.
